1980 Berlin, East Germany (DDR) Managing/Artistic Director represented U.S. at international symposium for directors hosted by the Berliner Ensemble
1983 Region III Festival Host theatre to five states (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin)
1984 Amsterdam, The Netherlands Managing/Artistic Director represented U.S. at international directing symposium with Edward Albee
1985 National FACT-Festival (Festival of American Community Theatre)
Host theatre to 10 U.S. companies in competition. Asked to host this festival
when Denver, Colorado failed; 15 months lead time.
1987 Wisconsin State Festival Presented showcase production of
The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial
1987 Utrecht, The Netherlands; Antwerp, Belgium World Festival (27 countries represented) Presented Seascape
1988 Wisconsin State Festival Performing company (Seascape)
1988 Racine, Wisconsin Presented Modi Nahke Theatre Company from Tbilisi, Georgia,
USSR, becoming first U.S. amateur theatre to develop exchange with USSR. Developed
educational theatre symposium with Johnson Foundation that attracted many theatre
educators from Midwest. Helped develop exchange between Technical University
of Georgia and University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
1989 Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia Presented Rough Crossing
1990 Racine, Wisconsin Modi Nahke Theatre Company from Tbilisi, Georgia returned to Racine Theatre Guild. Georgian director stayed in residence directing Georgian play with RTG actors.
1991 Wisconsin State Festival Performing company (Pump Boys and Dinettes)
1991 Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia Presented Foxfire there and in Leningrad
(St. Petersburg), Russia; Telavi, Georgia; Akisika, Georgia
RTG Director stayed in Tbilisi directing American play with Georgian actors.
1992 Helped develop exchange between Modi Nahke Theatre Company of Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia and Carroll College of Waukesha, Wisconsin.
1994 Second United States International AACT-Fest Host theatre
Asked to host festival in Nov. 1992. Received permission to host Feb. 1993,
with approximately 15 months lead time. 12 countries entered, 11 competed.
1998 Yakumo Village, Japan Managing/Artistic Director asked to participate in international symposium on theatre in the community. Asked to serve as consultant for Theatre Group Ashibue to help prepare for international festival in 2001.
1999 Yakumo Village, Japan International festival performing company
Presented Androcles and the Lion and won directing and acting awards.
