Acting Classes for Kids & Adults

Winter 2015 Theatre Classes for Kids & Adults

  • Please don’t wait until the last minute to register. If minimum enrollment isn’t met 1 week prior to start date, class may be cancelled.
  • Students must meet age requirement by first day of class.
  • Households registering for 2 or more sessions priced at $100 or more get a $10 discount per session.
  • Down payment of 50% is non-refundable, unless class is cancelled.
  • If Racine Unified closes schools due to weather, RTG classes do not meet.

 

Creative Kids (ages 3-5) – $100

Thursdays, January 15-April 2, 4:00-4:45 p.m.

Creative movement plays an integral role in a child’s development. This class provides an opportunity for the youngest artists to explore the space around them through rhythm and expression. It’s playtime with a purpose; fun set to music. Instructor: Kara Ernst

 

Broadway Bound, Jr. (ages 6-9) – $140

Wednesdays, January 14-April 1, 4:45-6:00 p.m.

“Triple threats” of the future are introduced to the three elements of musical theatre: singing, acting and dancing. The session concludes with a performance of a mini-musical! Instructor: Briana Lipor

 

Musical Theatre Dance (ages 9-14) – $130

Thursdays, January 15-April 2, 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Get moving and have a blast with dance styles commonly used in musical theatre. No prior dance experience necessary. Participants should have ballet or jazz shoes. Instructor: Kara Ernst

 

NEW!! Musical Theatre Workshop (ages 10-14) – $150

Tuesdays, January 13-March 31, 4:45-6:15 p.m.

Expand your basic acting skills, build confidence and develop characters as you work to prepare a one- act musical!  Please note: Regular attendance is required for this production workshop. Instructor: Kara Ernst

 

NEW!! Adult Dance: Beginning Tap (ages 17+) – $90 (does not qualify for household discount)

Saturdays, January 10-February 28, 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Join us for an 8-week session of basic tap aimed at taking you from the couch to the stage! No prior dance experience necessary. Tap shoes are required. Instructor: Kara Ernst

 

 

To register, call the box office at 262-633-4218 or visit the Racine Theatre Guild, weekdays from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. Registration cannot be completed online. The RTG is a nonprofit community theatre providing entertainment, education and enrichment opportunities year-round.
