THEATRE CLASS INSTRUCTORS

KARA ERNST- SCHALK ​is a professional performer, director and educator that ​has participated in over 50 productions at the Racine Theatre Guild. She has directed​ and ​choreographed ​many of ​our shows​, including​: ​Peter and the Starcatcher, ​Little Shop of Horrors, The Marvelous Wonderettes, The Rocky Horror Show, I Do! I Do!, A Grand Night for Singing and Lucky Stiff. ​She has produced many Children’s Theatre productions including ​Peter Pan, Seussical, Jr., ​ Let Down Your Hair, Rapunzel and The Big Bad Musical. Kara holds her BFA in Musical Theatre (UW-Stevens Point). She received her acting training at The Lee Strasburg Theatre and Film Institute and her dance training at The Milwaukee Ballet Studio, DanceWorks and Broadway Dance Center.

 

 

 

 

KRISTIN ALTHOFF has had the privilege of working in the Milwaukee and Racine comedy community.  She is an improviser at Comedy Sportz in Milwaukee, an actor in the Milwaukee based show Dinner Detective, and a local actor that can be seen in productions at Racine Theatre Guild and 6th Street Theater.  She has been trained at Second City and has been seen in both Milwaukee and Chicago Comedy Festivals in sketch and improv groups.  Kristin’s first became involved with RTG when she was cast as Milady in Three Musketeers. When she is not working for laughs on stage, she isworkingfor Horlick High School’s math department as the department chair.  

 

 

 

 

 

TINA PAUKSTELIS A founding member of Upstart Theatre and many local credits, her favorite roles include May in Fool for Love, Lulu in The Birthday Party, and Veronica in God of Carnage, Margie in Good People, Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Nora in A Doll’s House. Tina holds a theatre degree from UW-Parkside and has been seen on the Racine Theatre Guild’s stage as Christina in Dancing at Lughnasa, Laura in Glass Menagerie, and Sonia in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.
